Dr Alastair Farrugia

Biography

Dr. Alastair Farrugia was brought up in Paola, Fgura and Birzebbugia. He was educated at Stella Maris College, Gżira, the University of Malta, and Waterloo University in Canada. He has a Ph.D. in mathematics, and over 20 years of experience in mathematics, software development, teaching, and voluntary work with different organisations. He is also a certified trainer of Focusing — a practice similar to mindfulness and meditation. Alastair is running with Momentum because he believes government should serve everyone, not just the well-connected. That means better use of our taxes, fairer use of public resources, better planning that protects neighbourhoods and quality of life, long-term solutions in housing and infrastructure, and public services that people can actually rely on.
