About Help My Vote
What is Help My Vote?
Help My Vote is an independent, non-partisan voter-education platform for the Malta General Election 2026. It is not affiliated with any political party, campaign, or the Electoral Commission of Malta.
Our goal is straightforward: make it easier for every eligible voter to understand who is standing in their district, what candidates and parties stand for, and how their own values compare to the available options.
Everything on this site — candidate profiles, party positions, the voter-match quiz — is free, publicly accessible, and designed to inform rather than persuade.
Who runs it?
Help My Vote is owned and edited by Andrew Iles. Andrew is not affiliated with any political party and has no commercial interest in the outcome of the election.
Editorial decisions — which candidates are included, how positions are described, how the quiz is designed — are made independently. No party, candidate, or funder has any influence over content.
All data and methodology decisions are documented in our Editorial Policy.
Data & methodology
Candidate and party information is gathered from publicly available sources: official manifestos, party websites, press releases, and recorded public statements. Where possible, every data point links to its original source.
Data collection uses a combination of AI-assisted research and human editorial review. No position is published without a citable primary source.
For the full methodology — including what counts as a valid source, how we handle uncertainty, and our corrections process — see the Editorial Policy.
Two-tier sourcing
All data on this platform is labelled with one of two source tiers:
- Tier 1 (AI-sourced): Data gathered by automated research from public sources. These are the baseline positions for all candidates, reviewed by the editorial team.
- Tier 2 (Candidate-submitted): Data provided directly by candidates or their representatives via a structured submission process. These are labelled clearly so voters can distinguish them from editorially-sourced data.
Both tiers require a citable primary source. Tier 2 data is presented with a green indicator to make it easy to identify candidate-provided information.
What we don't do
- We do not rank, recommend, or editorially prefer any candidate or party.
- We do not accept advertising from any candidate, party, or politically affiliated organisation.
- We do not share quiz data with anyone. Your quiz responses never leave your device.
- We do not make voter registration decisions — for official voter roll information, visit the Electoral Commission of Malta.
